Bellary Constituency of Karnataka Lok Sabha Election 2024: Date of voting, result, candidates list, main parties, schedule

NEW DELHI: The Bellary Lok Sabha constituency is situated in Karnataka. Following the delimitation process in 2008, this constituency has been reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.

The constituency encompasses eight Assembly segments: Hoovina Hadagali, Hagarihommanahali, Vijayanagara, Kampli, Bellary, Bellary City, Sandur, and Kudligi.
The Congress party holds the majority of these seats, while the BJP and JD(S) each hold one.

In March, the EC announced that the voting for the Bellary Lok Sabha Constituency Election 2024 will take place on May 7 (Phase 3). The counting and declaration of results for the Bellary Lok Sabha Constituency Election 2024 will occur on June 4.

Y Devendrappa, representing the BJP, triumphed in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from the Bellary constituency. With a total of 616388 votes, Y Devendrappa outperformed the nearest rival, V S Ugrappa from the INC, who secured 560681 votes.

The margin of defeat for V S Ugrappa was 55707 votes, solidifying Y Devendrappa's victory in the electoral contest.
