Haveri Constituency of Karnataka Lok Sabha Election 2024: Date of voting, result, candidates list, main parties, schedule

NEW DELHI: Haveri Lok Sabha constituency, one of the 28 parliamentary constituencies in Karnataka, was formed during the 2008 delimitation process. The first elections in this constituency were held in 2009, and Shivkumar Chanabasappa Udasi of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) became its inaugural member of parliament (MP).
As of the most recent elections in 2019, Udasi continues to represent Haveri in the Lok Sabha.

The Election Commission has announced that the voting for the Haveri Lok Sabha constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha Election will take place on May 7 (Phase 3). The counting of votes and declaration of results for the Haveri Lok Sabha Constituency Election 2024 is scheduled for June 4, as per the Election Commission of India's announcement on March 16.

Haveri Lok Sabha Constituency in Karnataka holds a significant position in Indian politics due to its substantial influence. The constituency is known for its diverse population and remains a vital part of Karnataka's political landscape. As the 2024 elections approach, voters in Haveri are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to exercise their right to vote. The prominent candidates contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Haveri are Basavaraj Bommai from the Bharatiya Janata Party and Anandaswamy Gaddadevara Math from the Indian National Congress.

In the 2019 General Assembly Elections, Haveri witnessed a closely fought contest with a voter turnout of 74.01%. BJP candidate Udasi S C emerged victorious, securing 6,83,660 votes and defeating Dr Patil of the Indian National Congress (INC), who received 5,42,778 votes. Udasi S C's winning margin was 1,40,882 votes.
