Indian Army and J&K Police conduct joint operation in Baramulla's Uri, one suspect apprehended

NEW DELHI: The Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a joint search operation in Uri , Baramulla on Thursday, resulting in the apprehension of one suspected individual.

The operation was initiated following specific inputs from intelligence agencies , as disclosed by the Indian Army's Chinar Corps .


During the operation, security forces successfully recovered a pistol along with other war-like stores.

"Based on specific inputs from intelligence agencies, a Joint Search Operation was launched by #IndianArmy & @JmuKmrPolice today in Uri, Baramulla. One suspected individual has been apprehended along with recovery of 01xPistol & other war-like stores," the Chinar Corps, Indian Army stated in a post on X.

"On specific intelligence input regarding presence of terrorists, a Joint Operation was launched by Indian Army & @JmuKmrPolice today evening in general area Nowpura, Baramulla. The area was cordoned & search conducted, resulting in a fire fight," the Chinar Corps wrote in another post on X.
