Kohli becomes most successful India captain in overseas Tests
NEW DELHI: Virat Kohli has gone past Sourav Ganguly to become the most successful India captain in overseas Tests. India's victory in the first Test against the West Indies in Antigua helped Kohli surpass Ganguly (11) for most away wins as India captain.
Kohli recorded 12th victory in his 26th away Test as skipper while Ganguly took 28 Tests to register 11 wins.
The result also gave Kohli the joint-most number of victories as India captain, tying for 27 wins with MS Dhoni .
The visitors dished out a commanding performance in the match to inflict a humiliating 318-run defeat on the West Indies which is India's biggest win in away Tests in term of runs. Overall, this is India's fourth biggest in Test history as winning by 337 runs against South Africa in Delhi in 2015-16 remains their best ever.

After setting West Indies an unlikely target of 419 for victory on the fourth day, India bowled out the hosts for 100 in their second innings in North Sound.
The second and final Test in the series, which is part of the new World Test Championship, starts in Kingston, Jamaica on Friday.
