PM inaugurated incomplete AIIMS: Congress

SHIMLA: Congress party has questioned the inauguration of incomplete AIIMS at Kothipura in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, while at the same time the party has taken credit for the construction of AIIMS and Hydro Engineering College by claiming that land and infrastructure was provided during the tenure of previous Congress government headed by then chief minister late Virbhadra Singh.





Congress said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again disappointed the people of the state.

AICC media in charge for the state, Alka Lamba said that in the election time, Prime Minister inaugurated the incomplete AIIMS as its work has not been completed yet.

She said that at the time of elections, the BJP is playing with the sentiments of the people by doing an inauguration of an incomplete project.

Alka Lamba said that like AIIMS even the website of the medical institute is not complete yet.

Congress has attacked BJP by tweeting in this regard. Himachal Congress has raised the question and asked Narendra Modi to tell what the hurry was for this.

Congress said that suppose there is an election environment, but at least the website of AIIMS should have been completed. Without investigating, he went out to inaugurate the incomplete AIIMS, it added.

Congress party claimed that the patient portal of AIIMS has no facility for registration and till the time registration facility will not be available how the patient will register themselves.

It said that in his speech, the Prime Minister remained silent on the problem of unemployment, inflation, fruit growers and the old pension scheme and did not utter a word.

State Congress president Pratibha Singh while congratulating the people of the state on the inauguration of AIIMS said that in 2017 the then Congress government had taken an important step in this direction by providing land and infrastructure to this institute.

She said that former chief minister late Virbhadra Singh had a dream that AIIMS should be established in the state, which has come true today, for this the state deserves congratulations.

She said that Virbhadra Singh had also thought of Hydro Engineering College in the state and had made a lot of efforts from time to time for its construction.

She said that the opening of this college today would also benefit the youth in doing hydro-engineering in the state.

Pratibha Singh, while giving her reaction on the issue of BJP leaders claiming to change the tradition of not repeating the government this time, said that the people in the state had made up their minds to change the government.

She said that it was clear from BJP leaders not uttering a word on rising inflation and unemployment that BJP has nothing to do with this complex problem, they are not worried about it.
