It was a dream come true for those interested in the city's rich history and politics and architecture as Raj Bhavan has threw open its gates for the public from August 17. Thousands were seen flocking to catch a glimpse of the inner workings of the Bhavan. The visitors were welcomed with a melodious instrumental music performed by the Mysore Classical Band and Mysore Police Western Band at Glasshouse of Raj Bhavan.
Thereafter they were guided tour to the garden that covers around 16 acres, which has some rare varieties of plants and trees, wide variety of flowering, shrubs. They were also shown the official residence of the Governor, the VIP lounge and the banquet Hall. The Raj Bhavan is open to the public till August 30.
