Blinken lands in Beijing for talks with top Chinese officials

BEIJING: US secretary of state Antony Blinken landed in Beijing on Thursday ahead of talks with top Chinese officials, according to an AFP journalist, following a charm offensive in Shanghai.

China has not announced plans for Blinken to meet President Xi Jinping, although a meeting was announced at the last minute during his previous visit in June.
