Assembly elections: 14 gram panchayats in Bhiwandi will boycott the election

Voters of 14 gram panchayats of taluka in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi district have decided to boycott the assembly elections.  The reason is the arbitrariness of the Torrent Power Company, the ban on sand mining by the state government and opposition to the bullet train.  Please tell that people of rural areas are already opposing Torrent Power.

During Bhiwandi Manpa and Lok Sabha elections, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had assured to curb the arbitrariness of the company, but it proved to be false.  Instead, complaints of fake bills, fast meters and vigilance arbitrariness increased.  In protest, the villagers held a meeting at the Sai Baba temple in Vadoonavghar.

The meeting discussed a number of issues including the torrent company, traditional sand business of the Bhumiputras, brick business, substandard road construction of the Supreme Infrastructure, bullet train and cultivated land being acquired for the Samridhi Highway, Eco Zone and Alibaug Corridor.  Farmers of Paigaon, Kariwali, Kalwar, Anjur, Dive Anjur, Malwadi, Khargaon, Vadghar, Bharwadi, Mankoli, Keoni, Keoni Dive, Ovali and Brahman Patra attended the meeting.
