Kangana Ranaut On Supriya Shrinate Controversy

Kangana Ranaut looked resplendent at the event as she donned a grey satin saree and wore minimal makeup. The actress reacted to Congress Leader Supriya Shrinate's remark on her. She said, "Comments like this in media, when we ask tumhara bhav kya hai or iska rate card kya hai, just because a woman is wearing fancy clothes. I think this is the mentality that she is asking for it. It was extremely alarming. I felt sad. I was badly hurt because the state Mandi is being used in what kind of words."

"I want to explain the meaning of the word Mandi. We had a Rishi named Mandav Rishi, and the state Mandi has been inspired by the name of the sage becuase he used to reside over there. Not only Mandi, the Rishi Manu, who wrote Manu Smriti, became the inspiration for Manali's name. The Vyas river has been named after the sage Vyas. The most improtant tourist spot is Prashar lake. and it has been named after Prashar sage. Still, the place has the hut where he used to stay. It is a divine lake and the quanity of water never receded," she added.

For those unaware, in the viral tweet Congress leader Supriya Shrinate's alleged post read, "Mandi Main Bhav Kya Chal Raha Hai."
The post also featured a picture of Kangana in revealing clothes. This sparked a controversy, however, Supriya in her response said that she isn't behind the account which made the remarks.

Adding to the explanation, Kangana added, "Devbhoomi Mandi belongs to Rishi Mandav." She added that the "people of Himachal Pradesh have been deeply hurt by the comment made by Supriya Shriante."
