VinFast's 7-Seater Electric SUV Spotted Testing in India — Set to Rival MG, Tata Nexon EV, and Kia Carens EV

Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast has officially begun testing its upcoming 7-seater electric SUV, the VinFast Limo Green, on Indian roads. This marks the company’s first major step toward entering the Indian electric vehicle market, with full-scale operations expected to begin by December 2025, when all 35 dealerships and showrooms are slated to open.

VinFast plans to launch its first models, the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs, in September 2025, followed by the Limo Green MPV. The Limo Green was recently patented in India and is now undergoing road tests — a sign that the brand is gearing up for local validation and adaptation to Indian driving conditions.

Once launched, the VinFast Limo Green will compete directly with:

• Kia Carens Clavis EV (₹17.99 – ₹24.49 lakh, ex-showroom)

• BYD eMAX 7

• Upcoming Mahindra XEV 9S

While the company has not announced official pricing or launch details for India yet, it is expected to be positioned in the premium 7-seater electric MPV category.

In international markets, the VinFast Limo Green is equipped with:

• Battery: 60.13 kWh

• Motor Output: 204 bhp and 280 Nm torque

• Range: Up to 450 km (NEDC) on a single charge

• Drivetrain: Front-Wheel Drive (FWD)

• Driving Modes: Eco, Comfort, and Sport

The model also supports fast DC charging, taking about 30 minutes to charge from 10% to 70%.

The 7-seater Limo Green offers generous space and practicality with the following measurements:
