Man arrested for possessing weapon
Nagpur: A team of Lakadganj police, during a routine patrol, received a tip about a suspicious individual carrying a weapon near Ganga Jamuna. The suspect, later identified as Raj Ranjan Pardhi (21), a resident of Ghas Bazar, attempted to flee upon seeing the police but was apprehended after a brief chase.
A search led to recovery of a knife, valued at approximately Rs200, from his possession. Pardhi was found to be in violation of a restraining order and was allegedly carrying the weapon with the intent to commit a cognizable offence, said police.
A case was registered under Sections 4 and 25 of the BNS, and Co-Section 135 of the MPC. Pardhi was taken into custody.
