Reliance to set up AI data centre in AP

Visakhapatnam: Reliance on Friday announced plans to set up an AI data centre, a solar power plant, and a greenfield integrated food park in Andhra Pradesh. The company is moving ahead with a 1 GW AI data centre, which will host the world's most advanced GPUs, TPUs, and AI processors.

The Andhra Pradesh facility will be an extension of Reliance's gigawatt-level AI data centre in Jamnagar, creating one of the strongest AI infrastructure networks in Asia, Reliance said. To support this, Reliance will establish a 6 GWp solar power project dedicated to the AI data centre.

Reliance is also advancing plans to build a world-class automated food park on 170 acres in Kurnool, expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs.

Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu met Reliance Industries' ED MS Prasad and RIL south India mentor Madhav Rao to discuss key investment issues, at the CII Partnership Summit, which began here on Friday. Naidu thanked Mukesh Ambani for placing trust in Andhra Pradesh and making substantial commitments. He also met representatives from various organisations on day one of the Partnership Summit.
