In a disturbing discovery early Tuesday morning, police in Ghaziabad recovered the body of an unidentified woman, believed to be in her twenties, from a suitcase abandoned in the Loni border area.

According to Ajay Kumar Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Ankur Vihar, Ghaziabad, the police control room received a call regarding the suspicious object at around 7:30 AM. “The suitcase was found along the canal road connecting Behta Hajipur and Bandhla,” said ACP Singh.

A police team, accompanied by forensic experts from the field unit, arrived at the scene to secure and examine the area. Upon opening the suitcase, they discovered the body of a woman estimated to be around 25 years old. “The woman was wearing vermilion and toe rings, which suggests she was Hindu,” the officer added.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, and efforts are underway to ascertain the woman's identity and the circumstances of her death. “We are examining all evidence and will soon determine the cause of death and identify the person or persons responsible,” ACP Singh said.

This incident comes shortly after a similar case was reported on May 30 in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district. There, police discovered the body of a 23-year-old woman named Neelesh, a resident of Delhi’s Trilokpuri, also stuffed in a suitcase. Following an investigation, police arrested her friend, Satendra Yadav, for allegedly strangling her with a scarf before concealing her body.

Police are continuing their investigation in the latest Ghaziabad case and are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in identifying the victim or the perpetrator.
