The clip subsequently went viral on various social media platforms with both sets of fans being vocal in their opinion on the duo.

Although RCB ended up losing by 55 runs, they still finished top of the table of the IPL 2026 season. The Bengalureans needed 166 runs in order to secure a spot in the top two places in the league standings.

However, with the way in which the SRH batting lineup has performed so far, it never really looked likely that RCB would have got anywhere near their target. Kohli only managed to score 15 runs from his 10 deliveries while the majority of his colleagues only followed suit. There was a slight glimmer of hope, however, with Rajat Patidar, Krunal Pandya contributing with 56 and 41 respectively.

Ishan Kishan played a perfect partnership to add to the score by smashing a valuable 79 runs off of just 44 deliveries and followed by a blistering performance by the South African Heinrich Klassen who chipped in with a devastating 51 runs off of a mere 24 deliveries.

Heinrich Klassen

took a liking to the short ball bowling, and took to Josh Hazlewood in particular smashing many a delivery for a boundary as it seemed to turn the match fully in favour of SRH. A brief cameo from Nitish Reddy saw the score tick over and surpass 250 with relative comfort. Despite a convincing victory the duel between Kohli and Travis Head remained arguably the highlight of the match.
