CBSE 12th Revaluation 2026: Do Not Worry If Excess Fees Were Deducted from Your Account; The Board Will Refund It Directly..
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is currently conducting the process for the re-evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets. Meanwhile, CBSE has issued a notification informing students and their parents that those whose accounts were debited an amount exceeding the prescribed fee while applying need not be concerned. The Board will directly refund the excess amount to the respective students' accounts. Students or their guardians may apply online for the re-checking of answer sheets until today—May 24.
**Details Provided in the Notification**
According to the notification issued by CBSE: "On May 21–22, 2026, due to certain technical glitches, incorrect fee deductions occurred in some instances while students were applying for scanned copies of their answer sheets. In some cases, an excess fee was deducted, while in others, a lower fee was charged. In all cases of overpayment, the excess amount will be refunded to the same account that was used to make the payment. Similarly, in cases where an underpayment was deducted, candidates will be separately notified regarding the payment of the remaining balance, should it be required. Scanned copies of the evaluated answer sheets will be provided in all such cases without the need for a fresh request."
**Apply for Re-evaluation Within 2 Days of Receiving Scanned Copies**
According to the information provided by CBSE, if students feel there are any discrepancies in the scanned copies of their answer sheets after receiving them—or if they wish to opt for a re-evaluation—they may apply for 'Verification/Re-evaluation' within the subsequent two days.
**Applications for Compartment Exams to Begin on June 2**
Students who have received a 'Compartment' in the CBSE Class 12 Board Examinations will be able to apply online starting June 2. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on July 15. It is worth noting that the overall pass percentage recorded for this year stands at 85.20%. Out of a total of 1,780,365 registered students, 1,507,109 passed, while 163,800 students received a compartment.
