The title track also won best urban song and best urban performance, while Voy a llevarte pa PR won best reggaetón performance.
With best urban music album, he received five awards overall. His compositions show how intimately he connects with the musical past of his country by fusing live instruments, reggaetón, and traditional Puerto Rican sounds.
Bad Bunny is also six times nominated for the Grammy Awards for 2025, set for February in Los Angeles. He is up for album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year among the most famous musicians worldwide right now.
Previously, he grabbed headlines when he stated that his world tour would not feature U.S. mainland performances out of concern immigration authorities may attack his supporters.
Some U.S. conservatives were angered by his booking for the halftime concert of the Super Bowl in 2025. President Donald Trump even reacted and said the decision was “absolutely ridiculous” and claimed he had “never heard” of the star.
Other big winners also took the spotlight. Argentinian duo Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso won five awards, sweeping the alternative categories.
Mexican artist Paloma Morphy won best new artist, Colombian star Karol G won song of the year, and Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz earned record of the year for Palmeras en el Jardín. He even joked on stage and told Bad Bunny, “Benito, I stole it from you, forgive me.”
