NEW DELHI: The IPL 2026 league stage has officially come to an end after 70 action-packed matches, and the tournament has now entered the knockout phase.
Four teams have sealed their place in the playoffs and will now battle for the IPL 2026 title, while six teams have been eliminated from the competition.

The playoff line-up was finalised after Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians in their final league-stage clash to clinch the fourth and final playoff berth.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru , Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad had already booked their places earlier in the tournament.

Qualifier 1: RCB vs GT
The top two teams in the IPL 2026 points table - Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans - will face each other in Qualifier 1.
The winner of Qualifier 1 will directly enter the IPL 2026 final, while the losing side will get another chance through Qualifier 2.
IPL 2026 Eliminator: SRH vs RR
The Eliminator will feature Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals in a do-or-die contest.
The losing side will be knocked out of the tournament, while the winner will advance to Qualifier 2.

RCB finished at the top of the table with 18 points from 14 matches. The defending champions won nine matches and lost five, ending with a strong net run rate of +0.783. Gujarat Titans also finished with 18 points after winning nine and losing five matches. Their net run rate stood at +0.695 as they secured second place. Sunrisers Hyderabad ended third despite having the same number of wins and points as RCB and GT. SRH won nine matches, lost five and finished with an NRR of +0.524.
Rajasthan Royals grabbed the final playoff berth with 16 points. RR won eight matches and lost six, ending the league stage with an NRR of +0.189.
Punjab Kings narrowly missed out on qualification despite finishing with 15 points. PBKS won seven matches, lost six and had one no-result, with an NRR of +0.309. Delhi Capitals finished sixth with 14 points from seven wins and seven defeats. Their poor net run rate of -0.651 hurt their playoff chances. KKR ended their campaign with 13 points. They won six matches, lost seven and had one no-result, with an NRR of -0.147. Five-time champions Chennai Super Kings endured a disappointing campaign, finishing eighth with 12 points. CSK managed six wins and eight defeats, ending with an NRR of -0.345.
Mumbai Indians had a disastrous season and finished ninth in the standings. MI won only four matches and lost 10, finishing with eight points and an NRR of -0.584. Lucknow Super Giants also ended with eight points after winning four and losing 10 matches. Their NRR of -0.740 was the worst among all teams this season.
