Lando Norris etched his name into Formula 1 history by winning his first-ever World Drivers’ Championship at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix , bringing an end to Max Verstappen ’s dominant run at the top of the sport.

Although Norris finished third in the season-ending race, his measured and confident drive proved enough to seal the championship. The result capped off a remarkable year for the British driver, who showed consistency, composure, and maturity across the season to finally claim the sport’s most coveted prize.

At the front of the race, Max Verstappen delivered yet another strong performance, taking victory at Yas Marina Circuit. However, despite the race win, Verstappen fell just short in the championship standings.

The four-time world champion wrapped up the season with the highest number of race victories but missed out on a fifth consecutive title by a narrow margin of just two points. It was a rare setback for the Dutch driver, whose era of dominance has defined recent F1 seasons.
