Get the edge on your opponents on Black Ops 7 from the get-go with this 'no recoil' assault rifle build that one veteran says makes wins 'easy' to get on the new Call of Duty.

The latest entry in the franchise has landed, bringing fresh first-person multiplayer Call of Duty action to gamers worldwide. After players have spent the better part of a day with the new Call of Duty instalment, professionals have mastered the available arsenal.

And a two-time world champion claims he's discovered the ultimate loadout with "no recoil". Streamer Apathy, whose real name is Bryan Zhelyazkov, champions the MXR-17 assault rifle.

  • Exact time console owners can play Black Ops 7 as PC owners face longer wait
  • Football Manager fans say 'finally' as beloved feature is back in FM26 at last

He insists it's ideal for newcomers as well, since you don't need to unlock the weapon before using it. In a TikTok video, he said: "This class setup makes Black Ops 7 easy. First off, the MXR-17 has incredible TTK.

"It takes you out in just four [bullets]. On top of it all, it has amazing movement speed, great handling so you ADS (aim down sights) and sprint the fire quicker, and has no recoil.

"If you're just starting, you can acquire this loadout at such a low level and dominate the lobby." The two-time Call of Duty world champion recommends using the gunfighter wildcard to secure the maximum eight attachments for your MXR-17 - though his loadout features just seven.

He also recommends avoiding the optic attachment as it "can lead to weird visual recoil". For the muzzle attachment, he recommends the Greaves Titan-R 7.62 compensator, before selecting the Rift-M7 Barrel - a hybrid attachment for improved damage range and bullet velocity.

Apathy has also selected the Quickstep Foregrip underbarrel attachment to boost movement speed and improve horizontal recoil control in Black Ops 7. For ammunition, he's gone with the Vault Extended Mag offering 30 rounds, whilst the Aria Assail Grip serves as his rear grip of choice.

The stock he's fitted is the Greaves Covenant Stock, specifically chosen to enhance "movement speed". Regarding lasers, Apathy notes: "You can skip the laser or you can put one. I'm not a fan of lasers because they can see it."

That said, he did recommend the 3mW Motion Strike Laser should you decide to utilise all eight attachment slots. For fire modifications, he's opted for the Recoil Sync Unit to provide "extra recoil control".
