‘Have To Stay United’: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat On Atrocities Against Hindus In Bangladesh

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said Hindus in Bangladesh, being a minority, are facing a difficult situation and must remain united for their protection, while Hindus across the world should extend support within their capacity. He said India is the only country for Hindus and that the Indian government would have to take cognisance of the situation, adding that some steps may already be underway even if all are not made public. Bhagwat said unity within Hindu society could help change the situation in Bengal, while clarifying that political change is not the Sangh’s role, as it focuses on social transformation. On the idea of a Hindu Rashtra, he said Hindustan is inherently a Hindu nation rooted in civilisation and culture, irrespective of constitutional wording, and stressed that caste based on birth is not the essence of Hindutva.
