Viewing ‘Sangh’ Through the Lens of the BJP Is a Huge Mistake, Says RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat clarified misconceptions about the organisation, urging people not to view the Sangh solely through its association with the BJP. Speaking in Kolkata, he highlighted that false narratives and misinformation are being spread as the Sangh expands its presence across India. Bhagwat emphasised that many are unaware of the RSS’s grassroots work in societal organisation, cultural preservation, and community development. He stated that the Sangh was established to strengthen Indian society, safeguard traditions, and promote progress, not for political motives. Its ultimate aim, he said, is to prepare India to regain its stature as a Vishwaguru.
