Every year Rakhi does something controversial so that she can go to Bigg Boss: Adil Khan Durrani

Rakhi Sawant ’s ex Adil Khan Durrani recently tied the knot with Bigg Boss 12 contestant Somy Ali Khan. Adil married Rakhi in May 2022, but a few months later, they had a bitter fallout, where she accused him of cheating and domestic violence. Adil was also arrested on charges of rape by a foreign national in February 2023 and spent five months in jail.

Currently out on bail, Adil says his marriage to Somy has brought him peace. He shares, “I met Somi during an event in Dubai in August 2023 and we became friends. After I came out of jail last year, we started meeting and got closer. She understands me well. We tied the knot on March 3 and after Ramzan, we plan to host a wedding reception. I am finally happy in life.”

Adil was accused of marrying Rakhi for publicity because he wanted to become an actor. Ask him about this and he says, “If I was using her to foray into showbiz or a publicity stunt, I could have been just her boyfriend and done that. But I married her. It’s Rakhi who does things for publicity, so that she gets an opportunity to go inside the Bigg Boss house. Yes, I want to become an actor and have learnt acting from a reputed institute. But no, Rakhi was not my stepping stone to showbiz. In fact, my life was a big mess after I got into a relationship with her.” He added, "Every year she does something for publicity so that it becomes a talking point and she gets an opportunity to go inside the BB house. It is a pattern. Last year, she could not go inside the BB house, because I was in jail and she could not find anything more as a publicity stunt."
