Father from Vellore invites PM Modi to his daughter's wedding, his generous reply wins hearts

Vellore: When TS Rajasekaran, a retired regional medical researcher, wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited him to his daughter’s wedding, all he hoped for was a reply. The wedding of his daughter is scheduled for September 11.

Now, just a few days before the big day, the Rajsekarans are over the moon after PM Modi replied to the wedding invitation. 

“It is my pleasure to learn about the wedding of your daughter Dr Rajsri with Dr Sudarsan. Thank you for inviting me on this momentous occasion,” PM Modi replied back.

Besides thanking the family for sending an invite, the prime minister wished the couple a future filled with “prosperity and wonderful shared experiences.”

“As they start this new phase in their lives, I pray that the journey is filled with prosperity and wonderful shared experiences. I wish they move ahead in their life with joy and happiness,” the letter from PM Modi reads.

Towards the end of the letter, the prime minister congratulates the couple for their married life. He also sent his best regards for TS Rajasekaran’s family, friends and all the loved ones who will be attending the wedding.

After receiving the reply, Rajsekaran’s family were elated and told local reporters that the PM’s letter came as a huge surprise to them. The family members said they plan to take a picture with PM Modi if he manages to attend the wedding on September 11.

The Rajsekarans said they were well aware of the fact that PM Modi’s busy schedule wouldn’t allow him to attend the wedding, but his reply was good enough to make them happy.
