Fire breaks out in SBI bank branch, Goods worth 50 lakh burnt
Agartala: A huge fire broke out in Kamalpur branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Ambasa, Tripura on Monday morning, burning the entire office to ashes. According to the border subdivision officer of Kamalpur in North Tripura district, a sudden fire broke out at the State Bank of India (SBI) branch this morning.
Bank branch manager Sunit Majumdar informed the media that the fire had caused damage of up to Rs 50 lakh. The furniture and machinery present in the bank was completely burnt to ashes, although there was no loss of data and deposits and valuables. The fire service and police said that prima facie it appears that a short circuit is the reason behind the fire.
