Fire in Jaipur hotel, no injuries

Jaipur: A fire broke out at a hotel on Tonk Road on Tuesday morning. Three fire tenders were pressed into service to contain the blaze which had engulfed the third floor of the eatery.

No loss of life was reported. It took the fire fighters close to an hour to get the fire under control. Preliminary probe suggests that the cause of fire was a short circuit in the building.

The staff and those of a nearby the hotel panicked though the concerned officials were successful in restoring normalcy in the area.

“It appears that there was a short circuit in the Bombay Mishtan Bhandar because of which a fire broke out on its third floor. The fire was brought under control and although there is obvious damage to the property, no was injured,” a fire department official said.

The team of firefighters also disconnected the electricity in the vicinity till the time the blaze was contained.
