Five cattle killed as truck skids off road in Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: A truck carrying cattle skidded off road at Dhania Nali under Nihala Prasad Police limits of the district today, killing at least five cattle on the spot.

As per reports, the cattle-laden truck was en route to Bhadrak from Nihala Prasad when its connector slipped causing the carrier to fall off. As a result, all the cattle in the truck fell down.

While five cattle were killed on the spot, the remaining cows have reportedly dispersed to unknown locations.

On the other hand, the driver and helper of the truck fled the scene after the accident. Later, Nihala Prasad Police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the incident, sources said.
