Five labourers found dead at Jhajjar house site, four from MP

CHANDIGARH: Five labourers including two women were found dead in a room in an under-construction house in Jhajjar's Sector 6 on Tuesday evening. Four of the dead labourers were from Madhya Pradesh


Since no valuable was missing and the victims did not have any cash on them, police suspect enmity to be the motive behind their killing.

According to preliminary investigations, the labourers were engaged by the contractor, Ramdarshan of Dubaldhan Majra village, for building the house and had been working at the site for over 45 days. The house was owned by school teacher Vinod Kumar from Imlota village of Jhajjar. It is believed that the assailants probably came in a group and attacked the sleeping workers with sharp-edged weapons like axe.
