Floods wreak havoc in Rajasthan's Baran district, several roads devastated
Baran: In Baran district of Rajasthan, the aftermath of the floods is witnessing heart-wrenching devastation. Dozens of houses in the area have been damaged due to flood. Even the record of the government office has been melted because of water. Several roads have been damaged. According to reports, lakhs of people have lost their lives due to floods so far.
In Baran district, the flood water in Chhabda Chhipadabad area has been devastated. Several pucca houses and several mud houses have been destroyed in the area. However, Sub-Divisional Officer Ramavatar Barnala, who rushed to survey the flood victims, has assured all possible help by conducting a survey from the Patwaris. While arranging their rations, the sub-division personnel were ordered to remain vigilant.
Several roads and culverts have been completely destroyed due to flood which disrupted traffic. A similar situation continues at many places. The district collector inspected the officers. The entire record of Bharat Nirman Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra, including the Chhibabad Gram Panchayat, was submerged and destroyed along with other equipments including computer xerox.
