Focus on emerging technologies, students told in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: The computer science department of SRK Institute of Technology in association with the Computer Society of India, Vijayawada Chapter jointly celebrated 54th foundation day of Computer Society of India on the college premises here on Thursday.

Talk on IOT, Data Science and other events were held on the occasion.

The college principal Dr M Ekambaram Naidu said that the technical symposium highlights the changes happening in the areas of Internet of Things (IOT) and Data science.

He further said that students should not focus on getting job but with the upgraded technology like IOT, Artificial Intelligence, Block Chain Technology.

They should focus on starting new start-ups and provide employment opportunities.

CSI Vijayawada Chapter chairman Dr Rajesh Jampala said that students should not restrict to academics but get additional certifications in emerging technologies.

IT Hubs project manager Y Manikanta, CSI Vijayawada secretary VV Ramana, treasurer Dr M Babu Reddy, the college chairman, BS Appa Rao, secretary BS Srikrishna, Dr P Trimurthy and others were present.
