Former DC of Karimganj, Sutarkandi Land Port Scam: 2 day police remand

Karimganj: Former Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj, Pradip Kr Talukdar has been created in CJM, Karimganj court today. The court sent him to police authority for a further 2 days. He will be again delivered to CJM court on 21 August. Previous Deputy Commissioner was captured in multi errands land trick instance of Karimganj-Sutarkandi.

Talukdar, an Assam Civil Service official was captured from his living arrangement in Guwahati. As supposed he is suspected to be the prime blamed in multi-crore land trick case for Sutarkandi land port of Karimganj locale.

There are twelve cases regarding the Sutarkandi land trick pending before Karimganj police.

Prior, previous Circle Officer of Karimganj, Homen Gohain Baruah and two different workers Mihir Ranjan Malakar and Pranjit Nath were sent to legal authority on charges of manufacturing authoritative reports, on June 28 last by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Karimganj.

It might be referenced that a gigantic plot of land was bought for the development of a movement check post at Sutarkandi land port along the Indo-Bangla fringe. According to charges, the blamed people stole crores for rupees as they bought a few plots of land through phony land archives.

Talukdar was suspended on July 19, 2019. Before his suspension, Talukdar was filling in as the Commissioner of Co-activity at Dispur.
