Four rape accused held in Tripura

AGARTALA: A local court of Khowai in West Tripura sent four accused in three rape cases to jail on Thursday.

A 17-year-old minor girl belonging to a tribal family in the foothills of Atharamura hill range was allegedly raped by five persons on Tuesday evening at Khashiamangal area. The woman’s boyfriend has been arrested.

In another incident, two youths allegedly raped a 45-year old lady in Khowai on Sunday. Both the accused were arrested immediately after the lady lodged a complaint. Police also arrested one Dhananjoy Debbarma (24) for allegedly raping a minor girl in Teliamura .
