JAIPUR: The top rankers of Class X and XII exams will be given free air rides by the state education department to boost their morale.
Education minister Govind Singh Dotasra on Tuesday said, “We have planned to send students for free air travel on government expenses that are exceptionally good in studies or extra-curricular activities. We hope that this will boost their morale and even encourage other students to come perform well,” he said. “We have sent 66 students on Tuesday, two from each district on a tour by bus. One teacher from each district is sent along with them,” said Dotasra.
This initiative is taken for poor students in the state who can travel and see different parts of the country. This is expected to be an educational tour for them learning about different cultures, how other educational institutes are functioned and will also know about the history of India.
“With instructions from the CM, guidelines have been issued to the officials for the selection of the students and from the next session students will be taken on a tour via air,” promised Dotasra. He said that this will nurture the talents of the students and will create an environment of healthy competition amongst them.
