Gehlot government started interest waiver scheme, these people will get benefit

Jaipur: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, while taking a sensitive decision in the interest of the agricultural produce mandis traders of the state, has approved the proposal to implement the Interest Waiver Scheme-2019 for settlement of their outstanding mandi fees and other funds. According to this scheme, merchants will get a rebate of 75 percent on the basic interest amount and late fee on payment of outstanding mandi fees and other amounts up to 30 September 2019 by 31 March 2020.

It is important to note that in case of mandi fees and other amounts remaining outstanding in the state, cases at the mandi level and in courts are under consideration. Recently, the market traders requested the CM to start the interest waiver scheme after considering it sympathetically. On which Gehlot has approved the proposal in this regard.

The benefit of this scheme will also be given to such traders who have deposited the entire principal balance or some part of it, but the interest or late fee is still remaining on them. However, the arrears from which the amount including interest has been recovered earlier, will not get the benefit of interest rebate. In order to take advantage of the scheme, the arrears will have to withdraw the cases and cases filed by them at any judicial level.
