George Reddy Twitter movie review: Sandeep Madhav-starrer opens to mixed response

George Reddy, one of the most-awaited films of this year, has finally hit the big screens. The film is a biopic based on George Reddy, a student leader, boxer and Gold medalist. Reddy, between 1967 and 1972, had a massive influence on the politics of the Telangana region. To date, he is remembered for his revolutionary ideas and ideals.

Reddy was brutally murdered in 1972. 

The film stars Sandeep Madhav in and as George Reddy while Shrinivas Pokale plays the younger George. The film also stars Satyadev Kancharana, Devika Daftardar, Musaan Khubchandani and Pawon Ramesh in key roles.

Directed by B Jeevan Reddy, the film has been produced by Appi Reddy, Sanjay Reddy, Damu Reddy, and Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti. Right from today morning, the fans are going gaga about the film. While some are heaping praise on the film, others are not that impressed with the biopic. 

A social media user wondered as to why Pawan Kalyan didn't come on board for the film and tweeted, "#Georgereddy Wonder why 
@PawanKalyan Haven’t done this masterpiece ,A Package of rebellion thoughts with electrifying Cinematography & Bgm !"

Another user wrote, "Superb movie."

Yet another social media user trashed the film and wrote, "#GeorgeReddy below avg-average, looks like director stuck between biopic and commercial movie, without proper screenplay edo undi ante undi emotional connect last lo geroge ni podavadaniki vastunte lallan (who killed george) ani arustunaru theatre lo badha padakunda."

One user expressed his excitement for the film's release and tweeted, " The Movie which told about Story of Forgotten Leader George Reddy to this generation #GeorgeReddy #GeorgeReddyReview."
