Goa CM Manohar Parrikar health condition extremely critical, doctors trying their best

Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar's health condition is extremely critical and the doctors are trying their best, his office said in a statement on Twitter Sunday. The doctors are trying their best, the statement added. He is suffering from an advanced pancreatic condition. 

On Saturday, Goa BJP lawmakers and the members of the core committee of the party's state unit met to discuss the political situation in the backdrop of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s deteriorating health.

Security has been beefed up outside Manohar Parrikar's residence. Chief Secretary and DGP have also reached chief minister's Panaji residence. Union Ayush Minister and North Goa MP Shripad Naik has also reached. 

 

 

Parrikar's health condition deteriorated on Saturday sparking heavy activity across party lines in the western state. He suffers from a pancreatic ailment and is currently recuperating at his residence in Panaji. 

After the emergency meeting called by the party yesterday (Saturday), Goa assembly Deputy Speaker and BJP MLA from Calangute Michael Lobo told the news agency ANI that the "emergency meeting was called because Parrikar's health has deteriorated since last night. Doctors are continuously monitoring his health but are not saying that he will get alright anytime soon."
