Goa: Cops quiz Raia man's friends
Ponda: Following its investigation into the Francisco Carvalho murder case, Maina-Curtorim police questioned Carvalho’s friends on Saturday, said Maina-Curtorim police inspector Pravinkumar G Vast.
On Thursday, Carvalho, a resident of Manora, Raia, had drinks by 10pm and later went home at midnight.
People had seen him at home by 12am. However, he later went out and his body was found dumped at a platform of Borim bridge pier on Friday morning, police said.
“The man must have been murdered at some other place and his body had been dumped below the bridge. It must be brought there by a vehicle but due to rains, blood stains could not be traced at the site,” Vast said. Carvalho’s body was found without a mobile phone on it.
