Good news for Greater Noida commuters

New Delhi, May 22:

Commuters on the Noida-Greater Noida expressway will soon have an improved driving experience. The 23-kilometre long road between the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida will be revamped once the model code of conduct becomes void following the conclusion of Lok Sabha elections.

According to media reports, the entire stretch of the expressway will be built and redeveloped using bitumen technology.

Under the project, around four new underpasses will be built to ensure hassle-free experience for commuters.

The project is currently in the tender process and the construction of the four underpasses is projected to be completed by 2021.

The first underpass will have a length of 2.36 km and will be constructed with box pushing technology. Scheduledto be completed by December 31 next year, it has a budget of Rs 97.67 crore.

The second and third underpasses are scheduled to be completed by by March 31, 2021 at an estimated cost of construction is Rs 45.41 crore and Rs 43.64 crore respectively.

The fourth underpass has a completion date of July 31, 2021 and has an estimated budget of Rs 45.54 crore.

The renovation of the expressway is expected to rejunivate the newly constructed Noida-Greater Noida metro Aqua Line.

The Aqua line, which connects the two cities, suffers from lack of passengers at present due to connectivity issues.
