Google Pixel 4 leaks suggest in-display fingerprint scanner, punch hole display and more

After launching the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, Google is gearing up to launch the Pixel 4 series of smartphone later this year. While the new Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL look similar to the Pixel 3 series and design language haven’t changed much. Having said that if reports are to be believed, the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL might look completely different from any other smartphones.

Google has already added pressure sensitive sides on its Pixel phones which allow user to call Google Assistant by just squeezing the phone. Now, Google is reportedly planning to get rid of all physical buttons completely in the Pixel 4 phones. The devices might come with capacitive touch areas on the right side which would respond to touch, similar to the one seen on Vivo Apex. As far as other design elements are concerned, Google will most likely continue with the half glass design at the back.

The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL is also said to ditch the fingerprint scanner and opt for an in-display fingerprint scanner instead. Also, Google might take some inspiration from the Samsung Galaxy S10+ and opt for a dual punch hole display. Interestingly, Google might opt for an dual-lens camera setup at the back in the upcoming Pixel 4 phones.

The Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will most likely be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor along with Android Q operating system out-of-the-box. Google might add more RAM and the upcoming Pixel 4 phones might offer 6GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, Google has just launched the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL in India at Rs 39,999 and Rs 44,999 respectively. Both the phones are powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 670 processor and offers similar specs.
