Guard minor minerals: Enforcement cells

 

Bhubaneswar: In an offer to check unlawful mining of minor minerals, state government has made requirement cells in 144 tehsils, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Sudam Marndi disclosed to Assembly Wednesday.

The Revenue division has likewise given a notice in such manner, Wednesday. One income monitor (RI) and an amin will be sent in every one of the implementation cell for better the board of mineral assets and expansion of income from minor mineral sources.

The cell will be going by extra tehsildar, said the clergyman.

The administration has likewise made extra 144 RI and the same number of amin posts for the reason, he said.

The most noteworthy of 15 cells have been made in Mayurbhanj region, trailed by Ganjam (13), Bolangir (10), Khurda, Kalahandi and Sundargarh (8 each), Cuttack (7), Balasore, Bargarh and Sonepur (6 each), Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Koraput, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal and Rayagada (5 each), Kendrapara (4), Boudh, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda (3 each), Angul, Bhadrak and Nabarangpur (2 each) and Deogarh, Kandhamal and Gajapati (one each).

Charging that minor minerals are being plundered coming about enormous loss of income to the state, restriction BJP and Congress individuals in Assembly requested solid activity against the people associated with such practices.
