One of the eye witnesses, Hardik Modi who had informed the fire officials, said, “We saw a young boy sitting on the edge of the railing and before we could reach him, he jumped into the river. We could see him swimming for a while but the water current was strong that he got swept away and then disappeared.”

Raj’s father Nilesh Yadav, who takes up tailoring contracts said, “Both of us had breakfast together in the morning and I also reminded him to carry a raincoat as it was raining. He had left for his CA coaching classes while I went to my work.”

“I still cannot comprehend what had happened. There were no signs of Raj being under stress. He was a good student and had won best student of the year award in his school,” Yadav added.
