Hardoi girl ends life in a city hostel

KANPUR: An 18-year-old girl Lakshmi, a native of Onchagaon in Hardoi, was found hanging from the ceiling of her room in a hostel of Kakadeo area in the city on Thursday.

According to sources, the girl was preparing for competitive exams. No suicide note was found.

The police said, the girl’s roommate Sapna, who goes to the same coaching centre, found the girl’s body hanging from the ceiling of her room on Thursday afternoon.

Inspector Kakadeo Rajiv Singh said, “Girl’s parents were informed and the body has been sent for postmortem, which will be conducted upon the arrival of her parents.”
