Haryana: 3 arrested for creating ruckus in Ambala Cantonment Hospital

AMBALA: The Ambala police booked and arrested three persons for creating ruckus and misbehaving with the staff of the Ambala Cantonment Civil Hospital on Thursday night.


The police said the accused--Ankit of Kardhan village and Sulail and Prince of Nanhera village in Haryana 's Ambala district--who were in an inebriated state damaged the government property and also hurled abuses at the on-duty staff nurses.



Ankit--whose relative Sarabjeet was admitted in the hospital--visited the hospital last night to meet him, along with his two friends. The accused, while being drunk, started questioning the nurses saying they were not treating the patient well.

After they started creating ruckus, they were caught by the relatives of the other patients even as the police were called.

While scuffling with the public, they broke glasses of the hospital windows.



A case has been regisered against the three accused under sections 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Ambala Cantonment police station.

Investigation officer Naresh said, “All the accused were arrested on Friday and were presented before the court which sent them to judicial custody.”
