Haryana: Ambala man held with 45 gram heroin

AMBALA: The crime investigation agency (CIA) of Ambala police in Haryana arrested a man after recovering 45 gram heroin from his possession in the early hours on Thursday.


Following the seizure of contraband, the accused, Anubhav, was booked under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Parao police station.

A police officer said, “Our team was present on patrol near Ambala Cantonment bus stand on Thursday when we received a tip-off that Anubhav who sold drugs in the area was traveling from Mohra village to Ambala Cantonment side. On spotting the police, he attempted to flee, but was caught by our team and we recovered 45 gram heroin from his possession.”

Investigation officer sub-inspector Jarnail Singh said, “On Thursday, the court has sent him to police remand for two days.”
