Haryana assembly elections: Raj Kumar Saini's LSP fields 16 in poll fray

ROHTAK: Loktanter Suraksha Party (LSP) on Sunday released its first list of candidates for the Haryana assembly elections to be held on October 21. LSP supremo and former MP Raj Kumar Saini announced the names of 16 candidates from SCs and backward classes during a press conference here on Sunday.


Talking to mediapersons, Saini said his party had tried to give representation to all castes as per their population share.

Referring to his list of candidates, he said of the 16, 10 of them come from backward class while four are SCs, showing firm faith in them.

According to details, Saini's nephew Gulshan Saini will be fielded from Naraingarh constituency of Ambala district, former councillor Naib Singh Patakmajra from Ladwa, party's vice-president and former DSP Karta Ram Kashyap from Indri, LSP's state general secretary Raj Kumar Sharma from Rai, Sonu Gurjar from Hathin, former MLA Bharat Singh Chokkar from Samalkha, party's general secretary Satish Yadav from Badshahpur, LSP youth wing chief Ajay Tanwar from Jhajjar, Phool Singh Mohar from Kalanaur and Lekh Ram Mehra from Bawal.

Saini further revealed that the party was also banking on district president Rakesh Rana from Kalayat, Usha Atkan from Israna, advocate Vijay Saini from Safido and party's spokesman Kamlesh Saini from Kaloi Garhi Sampla, Babulal Yadav from Kosli and Raju Saini from Firozpur Jhirka.
