Haryana: Four-year-old crushed under school bus in Yamunanagar district

YAMUNANAGAR: A four-year-old boy, hailing from Gundiana village in Haryana’s Yamunanagar district , died after being crushed under his school bus on Saturday morning.


The bus had come to pick Viren up for school - Tagore Bal Niketan Public School in Uncha Chandana village - where he was enrolled this month only, but due to the negligence of the driver and the conductor, he was crushed under the wheels.

The police have booked the driver and the conductor of the school bus.

On the complaint of Gurmail Singh (Viren’s grandfather), the Yamunanagar police registered a case against driver Sukhchain Singh of Fatehpur village and conductor Rishipal who lives in the school.

Chowki Kheri Lakha Singh in-charge sub-inspector Jasbir Singh said, “After registering a case of negligence, driver Sukhchain has been arrested and he will be presented before the court on Sunday while the conductor is yet to be arrested. The post-mortem of the boy has been conducted and his body has been handed to the family members for last rites.”
