Haryana govt invites tenders for Ambala Sadar fire brigade station project

AMBALA: The urban local bodies department of the state has invited tenders for the development of fire brigade station worth about Rs 11.39 crore in Ambala Sadar zone. The station will come up in place of the old building on Jagadhri Road.


Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar had on July 3 announced the approval of a special grant of about Rs 13.38 crore for the project on his official Twitter handle.





An official of Ambala Sadar Municipal Council said that the tender will be allotted within this month and the timeline for completion of construction work of fire station is two years.

Ambala Sadar MC secretary Rajesh Kumar said, “The e-tenders for the fire station and official building worth about Rs 11.39 crore have been invited online on July 22, and the last date for the bid, preparation and submission is August 17. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for August 4 at 11am at Administrator, MC, Ambala Sadar. The technical bids would be entertained on August 18. The tender will be allotted within this month only.”

The firemen in Ambala Sadar had been raising this demand for a long time and in the absence of a proper official building, and dilapidated condition of the old building, they were facing inconveniences.
