Haryana: Karnal gets plasma bank

KARNAL: Deputy commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav on Wednesday inaugurated Karnal’s first plasma bank for Covid-19 patients at Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College and Hospital, Karnal .


Yadav said the plasma bank would help treat critically ill patients. He appealed to cured patients to come forward and donate plasma.

The DC also honoured the man who was the first to donate plasma. KCGMC director Dr Jagdish Dureja said the bank had the capacity of storing 400 units of plasma. It can be stored for one year. He said plasma would be provided free of cost to all patients.
