Haryana: Motorcycle, purse of Ambala resident stolen by three miscreants

AMBALA: The Ambala police registered a case of snatching after three miscreants stole motorcycle and purse from a resident of Ambala district at around 12.30am on Tuesday.


Mangu Ram of Haryoli village in Saha block of Ambala district lodged a complaint with Mahesh Nagar police station stating that his motorcycle and purse containing cash and documents has been robbed by three miscreants near Ambala Cantonment.



Mangu told the police, "I work in a company in Ambala and on Tuesday at around 12.15am, I was heading back home from my work. When I reached in front of a cardboard factory near Lucky Farm, three bike-borne youth confronted my way with their motorcycle and I fell on the ground. The youth were carrying sharp-edged weapons in their hand and they caught hold of me. They threatened me of dire consequences and snatched my phone, purse containing Rs 2,000 cash, Aadhar Card, license, ATM card and while leaving they also took away my motorcycle. I could not note down the registration number of there two-wheeler as it was dark."

Following his complaint, police registered a case against accused under Section 379-A (snatching) of IPC to start the investigation.

Mahesh Nagar SHO inspector Surender Kumar said, "a case of snatching has been registered against the three miscreants for stealing a two-wheeler and purse. We are conducting raids on the suspected locations and investigation is being carried into this matter."
