Haryana: Motorcycle robbed at gunpoint in Ambala

AMBALA: Two miscreants have robbed a youth of his motorcycle on gunpoint on the Ambala-Kurukshetra road on late Tuesday night.


Jagbir Singh of Khanpur village in Ambala lodged a complaint with the Parao Police which stated, “I was returning home on my motorcycle from job in Ambala Cantonment . When I reached some distance beyond the Tangri river bridge on the Ambala-Kurukshetra road, two miscreants came from behind on a motorcycle and confronted my vehicle at around 10.30 pm.

The pillion rider pulled out a pistol and forcibly snatched away my motorcycle and pushed me on the roadside. They took a U-turn and fled away towards Ambala Cantonment.”

On this complaint, the police registered a case under Section 34 (common intention) and 392 (punishment for robbery) of the Indian Penal Code .

“A case of robbery has been registered and we are investigating the case. So far, we do not have any leads and efforts are being made,” said SHO of Parao police station Surender Singh.
