Headless body found on tracks in Indore

INDORE: Dismembered body of a 35-year-old man was found on railway tracks near Rajkumar Mandi on Saturday morning.

A local spotted headless body of the man between Lakshmibai station and Bhandari bridge and informed GRP officials. Senior police officials and forensic experts reached the spot soon after receiving information about the body.

Even after looking for the dismembered head of the man for three kilometres in both the directions on the tracks, police could not find it for several hours.

After sometime, the cops found bones of skull on the track. Prima facie it appears as if the man had lied down by keeping his head on the track to commit suicide.

Officials said that the man was identified Ashok Rajak. He hailed from Guna and had been living in Jagjeevan Ram Nagar of the city for past few years. He worked at a city restaurant and had not been staying with his wife for past four months.

GRP station in charge Gayatri Soni said that the body was sent for postmortem. They were yet to record statement of his family members.
